On February 3, 2015 Professor Brady gave a lecture on the tragic hero. I previously learned about the concept of the tragic hero but not in such depth. In class we discussed how every tragic hero has a tragic flaw. When first hearing about this, it made me think about human nature. It made me think about how every human being is doomed with flaws. Further discussion of this topic in class I eventually realize the difference between regular people and a tragic hero. That difference is the tragic hero's epic downfall is due to there tragic flaw. I also learned that the concept of a tragic hero is base on a existentialism point of view. That means that an individuals out come in life is base on that individuals choice and own power. A tragic hero falls from there greatness due to serious error in there judgment. There downfall is cause by there own wrongdoing not "fate."
