Perception

Lecture Response #2

On March 10, 2015 Professor Brady gave a lecture on perception. This lecture stood with me for many reasons. Not only was it a tremendous learning experience, it was also relatable to real life. When Professor Brady stated "What happens when we fall victim to our own imagination?" It not only made me think of what happened to the characters in the play we were reading, but it also made me think of real life experiences. There aren't to many people out there who are like Blanche from the play "A Streetcar Named Desire," who would live in a complete illusion. But there are quit a few Stella's out there who lie to themselves just to make it through the night. For example when a person is in a relationship and all the signs are there that they are being cheated on but the person ignores all the signs.
